The much awaited Blackberry 10 launch happened on Wednesday in New York City. This launch had two important announcement, one is the debut of its new mobile operating system and another announcement is about its future.

RIM has officially changed its name to BlackBerry. The ticker int he stockmarket will now show BBRY instead of RIMM. They now have a new tagline “One brand, one promise.” They are going to showcase the new name in its ts first Super Bowl ad ever this weekend.
There is a complete overhaul of the BlackBerry operating system in the new Blackberry 10. The complete focus in on the BlackBerry Hub. The BlackBerry hub will store everything from your emails, calender, contacts, text messages and other notifications.
The single biggest USP is not the Hub, but it is the camera app, the camera app is much ahead of its competition. A time shift technology allows you to scroll back in time thereby letting you to alter the photo. People now need not worry if they are captured with their eyes closed.
Another major feature is the Story maker, where people can build a story with images, videos and stuff.
Another major improvement is the intelligent virtual keyboard. For working executives there is a feature called as BlackBerry Blance which allows you to use the same device for both work and personal use. One can give controlled access to the employer.
BlackBerry 10 Devices:
There are two models of smartphones running BlackBerry 10; The Z10 and Q10. The Z10 is an all-touch handset, while the Q10 is a traditional BlackBerry with a physical keyboard.
Available Apps for Blackberry:
Currently there are over 70,000 apps available for BlackBerry 10. There are Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter and LinkedIn apps already available and a skype app is under construction.
